Atlantic Energy Concepts Inc. has surveyed, designed and installed hundreds of energy saving lighting upgrade projects since 1994.
Described below is an overview of our process that is guaranteed to provide you with the most energy efficient and cost effective lighting solution for your facility.
Upon verifying that an opportunity exists to reduce your facility’s lighting costs, a thorough lighting audit of the facility is conducted, as well as evaluating the lighting requirements for the various tasks being performed.
Our experienced design team takes into consideration the energy reduction goals, lighting quality and illumination levels along with future maintenance requirements and then works to develop a comprehensive, custom-designed solution to ensure that the proposed lighting systems will meet the established criteria. We simply do not count lights and replace on a one-for-one basis.
Next, we evaluate various technology options without brand bias and specify the products that will be best suited for the application.
Once an energy efficient lighting solution is agreed upon, AEC takes full responsibility for all aspects of the project ranging from design through construction including material procurement, logistics, disposal/recycling, measurement and verification, commissioning and training. The construction work plan is developed in coordination with your staff so that our highly qualified, experienced workers can complete the installation work with a minimal amount of disruption. We are also available to work during off-peak times to minimize inconvenience and interruptions. We stand behind our design and installation work with both an energy performance and workmanship guarantee.
The calculations we use in developing the energy savings for the proposed solutions are derived from information specific to your facility. The hours of operation are based on information provided to AEC by your staff in addition to observations made by AEC auditors during the field survey process. An analysis of the utility bills will be performed to determine the actual energy cost for the purpose of calculating the existing and proposed energy costs. We take a conservative approach to formulating our savings to make sure they are accurate and never intentionally overstated to meet a payback or financial requirement. The performance cost analysis and energy savings projections include energy, maintenance and operational cost savings reductions so the client can make the most informed decision.
When performing a financial analysis of any energy reduction project, it is important to consider all of the benefiting factors. While initial cost is certainly important, consideration of the long term cost savings often demonstrate that the lowest cost solution may not provide the best value over time. The more comprehensive solution often provides significantly more energy savings in future years increasing its long term financial benefit.
