The following is sample of lighting products used in a lighting upgrade. While not all products included in every specific upgrade are featured here, these are the typical categories of energy-efficient products utilized.

Compact Fluorescent Lamps

Benefits:

Light Emitting Diode (LED) Exit Signs

  • Uses LED lamp technology

  • Consumes only 3.2 watts of energy compared to 30 to 50 watts for conventional incandescent exit fixtures
  • Very fast payback

Electronic Ballasts

Benefits:

  • 30% to 40% energy savings over T-12 magnetic systems

  • Electronics generate very little heat (Lower A/C load)

Energy-Efficient Fluorescent Lamps
