LEED O&M (Existing Building) Certification Assistance
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) developed the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system to have a way to define and measure “green buildings.” Atlantic Energy Concepts now offers services to assist you in attaining LEED certification. Performance criteria and specific rating systems are available to allow you to benchmark your facility and become certified at several award levels. This valuable certification has the potential to increase your building’s market value, and provides limitless public relations and marketing opportunities.
The LEED for New Construction rating system guides the development of new construction and major retrofit projects to assure energy efficiency and minimal environmental impact. Projects include high-performance commercial and institutional projects, including: office buildings, high-rise residential buildings, government buildings, recreational facilities, manufacturing plants and laboratories.
Most existing commercial, industrial and institutional facilities are eligible for certification within the Existing Building - Operation and Maintenance rating system which provides existing buildings the opportunity to receive a LEED certification to document the energy efficient and sustainable operation of your facility. There are 92 possible points in six categories.
